LOVE IS DEAD: An Announcement

Alright guys, Little Black Dress has announcement. Mistie and Emily, after 5+ years of working closely together and stealing each other’s shoes and jewelry, have decided to separate, or “consciously uncouple” (is that still a thing guys?). In many ways, we work better together than we ever did, but with Mistie out in Orange County, as well as teaching a lot, she is looking to pursue some new things. A different business, with a more editorial style of women's photography - whatever Mistie, we don’t care! You’re ABANDONING US, OK?! Also, why don’t you love me anymore?! LOVE IS DEAD… Off track, sorry- what I meant to say, is we have decided that while we love and respect each other, it is time to separate. Also, Mistie left water bottles everywhere when she was in the IE, and it was driving Emily INSANE. Also, she only eats like 5 things. Her kids are super cute though.

So, what does this mean for you? Not much really! If you’ve recently shot with us in Rancho, you’ve probably already shot with Emily. Since this break up is amicable, Emily is taking custody of Little Black Dress clients- nothing will change for you! If you haven’t yet, no worries- she’s awesome and will take great care of you whenever you are ready. Way better than that red-haired lady who totally abandoned us, haha. And, just so you know, Mistie won’t fall off the map completely- she’ll be helping out on the technical side, handling the marketing, and business side- so don’t worry about never hearing from her again. Over the next week or so we will be redoing the website, with Mistie launching her new business in the upcoming months.

Now, messy PR, press release sounding business aside, I do need help. Since I am scrubbing Mistie from my life, and subsequently the website and social media pages, I need fresh model releases, because lately people do not want to give them to me (when did we become so modest guys? It the Handmaiden’s Tale?). So, for the next few weeks my Saturdays will be dedicated to getting content. What this means for you:
